Paradise Valley Hospital is the South Bay’s oldest hospital. In fact, we are the second oldest hospital in all of San Diego County, and the largest employer in National City. For more than 103 years, Paradise Valley Hospital has served San Diego faithfully, proud of our heritage and providing numerous programs and services to meet the changing needs of our community.

Paradise Valley Hospital is a 301-bed, acute care hospital offers a nationally acclaimed Obstetrics program, the South Bay’s only life saving 64-slice CT scanner, a renowned rehabilitation center, the only Hyperbaric Medicine program in the South Bay and distinguished Behavioral Health services. The Hospital also offers 24-hour Emergency Services, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, comprehensive surgical services, Inpatient Medical and Surgical Center, and Paradise Senior Health Center.
Paradise Valley Hospital is owned and operated by Prime Healthcare Services a progressive, innovative and rapidly expanding hospital management company in Southern California. Prime Healthcare Services was founded in 2001 by Prem Reddy, MD, FACC, FCCP, a cardiologist, entrepreneur and a dedicated philanthropist who serves as its Chairman of the Board. Dr. Prem Reddy is Board-Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.

PVH Awarded Full Accreditation from The Joint Commission
NATIONAL CITY, Calif. August 16, 2007 – Paradise Valley Hospital has earned the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval™. By demonstrating compliance with the Joint Commission‘s national standards for health care quality and safety, Paradise Valley Hospital has been awarded its full accreditation.
The Joint Commission conducted an unannounced, on-site evaluation of Paradise Valley Hospital on July 17 – 20, 2007. Following a rigorous survey, the Joint Commission awarded a full accreditation of the hospital in complying with the state-of-the-art patient care and safety standards established by the nation’s leading healthcare accreditation agency.
